Outline

This role will see you managing site engineers, reviewing construction information, and assisting the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management. You’ll also liaise closely with the Engineering and Integration team to ensure work is carried out in line with specifications and drawings.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Building strong working relationships with the Engineering team and sub-contractors
  • Assisting in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity
  • Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, such as drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork, etc.
  • Providing engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer technical queries
  • Setting out works within allowable tolerances
  • Regularly checking setting out points and benchmarks, ensuring calibration certificates for instruments are up-to-date and recorded
  • Ensuring the workforce understands setting out information is suitable for the work being carried out
  • Maintaining setting out and dimensional control for accurate construction
  • Proactively managing Health and Safety on site
  • Coordinating and supervising temporary works as required
  • Implementing test and inspection plans for all works on site

Your required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Technical knowledge of construction and best practices
  • Valid CSCS / CSR card
  • Sound engineering knowledge
  • Familiarity with latest building regulations, legislation, and Health and Safety standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
