Site Engineer - Yorkshire

Are you a Site Engineer with a passion for building? We're looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team in Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in a variety of civil engineering projects, with a focus on highways and roadworks.

The Role

As a key member of our team, you'll be instrumental in the successful delivery of our projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site.

  • Checking plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy.

  • Managing quality control and making sure all work meets our high standards.

  • Communicating effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other professionals.

  • Solving technical issues as they come up.

  • Preparing risk assessments and method statements.

  • Keeping a firm handle on health and safety regulations.

  • Maintaining accurate site records and diaries.

What We Need

We're looking for someone with a degree or HND in Civil Engineering and proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably with a civils contractor. You should also have:

  • Experience with general civils projects.

  • Proficiency in surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, etc.).

  • A solid understanding of health and safety legislation.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • A full UK driving license.
