The Role of Site Engineer
- The role includes assisting and implementing the organisation of projects in the field as well as the office, providing input as directed into the planning aspects to the project.
- Accountable for field-based logistics including ensuring that the project specification is followed, correct equipment is used and maintained on site and correct health and safety procedures are followed.
- Guidance on specific requirements will be given during the employee induction. The Site Engineer is expected to ensure that all technical and site work is carried out to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget.
- Key division of time spent on each part of the job will be set on an annual basis and reviewed regularly.
- Execution of ground investigations.
- Contract management on site to including delivery of projects on time and to maximize profits from each contract.
- Maintain an effective line of communication between site and the office.
- Work with Project Managers and Line Managers to develop personal objectives.
The Right Site Engineer
- 2 years' experience within the field
- BSc in Earth Sciences related degree or similar
- SMSTS
- Full UK driving license
