Qualifications

Ongoing Contract

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor on a major infrastructure scheme in Huddersfield, as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TPU). This is a key role with a strong focus on setting out and groundworks, supporting critical early-stage construction works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate setting out for drainage, foundations, formwork, and utilities
  • Ensure work is delivered in line with design specifications and quality standards
  • Daily site briefings, progress reporting, and QA documentation
  • Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams
  • Monitor HSEQ compliance on site

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience in groundworks and setting out on major civils/infrastructure projects
  • Competency with Total Station/GPS surveying equipment and CAD software
  • Strong understanding of CDM and temporary works
  • Valid CSCS and ideally SMSTS/SSSTS
