Job summary

RGB requires an experienced Site Engineer for a live highways project in Newton Abbot on a long-term contract. The role covers setting out for drainage, kerbing, earthworks and pavement construction, with responsibility for accurate site records and as-built drawings.

You will liaise with Site Management and subcontractors to ensure delivery in line with drawings and programme, while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering/highways projects.
• Civil Engineering qualification.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office and Trimble.
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence

The successful candidate will set out for highways works including drainage, kerbing, earthworks and pavement construction. Duties also involve producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built drawings, and ensuring delivery in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements. Close collaboration with Site Management, subcontractors and the wider project team is essential, alongside compliance with current health and safety standards. Applicants should hold solid highways and civils experience and demonstrate a proactive approach.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a live highways project in Newton Abbot on a contract basis. This is a long-term opportunity on a well-established scheme, suitable for a proactive engineer with solid highways and civils experience.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering / highways projects
• Civil Engineering qualification

• Ability to prioritise time-critical work
• Excellent communication and liaison skills
