Job summary

Salter Grange Limited is seeking a Site Engineer for a landmark high-rise residential development in South West London. You will join an established site management team on a flagship scheme at an early stage, contributing to setting out substructure and superstructure works.

Responsibilities include verifying piling accuracy against drawings, liaising with subcontractors and the design team to maintain quality and programme, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and health & safety

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree.
• Experience with piling and setting out on live construction sites.
• Experience on high-rise or complex residential/commercial schemes.
• Strong knowledge of setting out equipment such as total station and GPS.
• Proactive, detail-focused approach and strong communication skills.

Contract: Freelance / Day Rate

Salter Grange is working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to secure a Site Engineer for a landmark c.£250 million high-rise residential development in South West London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a flagship scheme at an early stage, working alongside an established site management team on a project set to reshape the London skyline.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in the engineering team, with core responsibilities including:

• Setting out for substructure and superstructure works
• Checking and verifying piling, ensuring accuracy against design drawings
• Liaising with subcontractors, the design team, and site management to maintain quality and programme
• Ensuring all engineering activities comply with drawings, specifications, and health & safety standards
• Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information

What You’ll Need

• A Civil Engineering degree
• Proven and demonstrable experience working with piling and setting out on a live construction site
• Previous experience on high-rise or complex residential/commercial schemes
• Strong working knowledge of setting out equipment (total station, GPS, etc.)
• A proactive, detail-focused approach and strong communication skills
