Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support ongoing highways work in Essex. This is a night shift position with responsibilities focused on highways-related works, running until September.

Key Responsibilities:
·Setting out for ducting, signage, and other associated highway works
·Managing and maintaining accurate site records and quality assurance documentation
·Liaising with subcontractors and site management to ensure smooth workflow
·Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
·Providing technical support and troubleshooting site issues as required

Requirements:
·Proven experience in a similar Site Engineer role within the highways or civils sector
·Competency in using setting out equipment (total station, GPS, etc.)
·CSCS card (essential)
·Strong understanding of temporary works and site safety practices
·Own equipment is beneficial but not essential
