Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a freelance Site Engineer for a £20m new build office development in Chippenham. The 6‑month contract involves reporting to the on-site manager, QA duties, groundworks checks, drainage, foundations, and portal frame supervision. You will oversee subcontractors and ensure accurate site records are completed.

Desirable SMSTS and First Aid with a valid CSCS card; key duties include measuring, interpreting drawings, providing technical assistance, and coordinating handovers.

Qualifications

Job description

I am currently assisting my client, a regional main contractor, with their requirement for a freelance Site Engineer for a £20m new build office development in Chippenham.

The duration is 6 months and the role will include reporting to the on-site manager, QA and checking for groundworks, drainage, foundations and portal frame, supervising subcontractors and completion of site records

It would be advantageous to hold SMSTS and First Aid in addition to a valid CSCS card. Key duties include:

• Measurements & Calculations
• Interpretation of technical drawings
• Providing technical assistance to the project team where required
• Coordinating the technical aspects of package handovers
• Checking the accuracy of sub-contractors work where required
