Job description

Site Engineer (Highways)

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

The role:

  1. Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.
  2. Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  3. Control and minimize waste on site.
  4. Identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
  5. Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
  6. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
  7. Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
  8. Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
  9. Undertake material reconciliations.
  10. Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
  11. Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  12. Produce 2D & 3D site sketches.

About you:

  1. Advanced setting out techniques.
  2. Relevant Civil Engineering experience (Highways, Rail, water or aviation).
  3. Problem solving skills.
  4. NVQ Level 3 or higher.
  5. SMSTS.
  6. Relevant CSCS card.
  7. Office 365 expertise/CAD.
