Job summary

Buildforce Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Civils) for an industrial multi-shed development in Luton. Immediate start, contract through to March/April, with a focus on setting out, surveying, and liaising with site management and subcontractors.

The role requires proven civils background, strong setting-out skills, and a valid CSCS card. Previous experience with a main contractor on large-scale projects is essential.

SITE ENGINEER - CIVILS

Location: Luton
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until approximately March/April
Project: Industrial Multi-Shed Development

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join an established industrial multi-shed development in Luton, replacing an existing engineer who is leaving the project.

The successful candidate will have a strong civils background and proven experience working for a main contractor on large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support across the project.


• Setting out and overseeing civils and external works.


• Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions.


• Working from construction drawings and specifications.


• Liaising with Site Management, subcontractors and the wider project team.


• Monitoring quality and progress of works.


• Identifying and resolving engineering issues on site.


• Maintaining accurate site records and relevant engineering documentation.


• Supporting the delivery of the project safely, accurately and to programme.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer.


• Strong civil engineering background.


• Previous main contractor experience essential.


• Experience on industrial, warehouse or multi-shed developments would be advantageous.


• Strong setting-out and surveying skills.


• Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings.


• Good communication and organisational skills.


• Relevant engineering qualifications and CSCS card.
