Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major RC frame and groundworks project based in Bridgwater. The project forms part of a large-scale industrial and infrastructure development in the region, contributing to one of the UK's most significant construction programmes. Our client is a leading civil engineering and construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality concrete frame, groundwork, and infrastructure works across the South West.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying for RC frames, foundations, drainage, and external works.
• Working closely with the site management and engineering teams to ensure precision and quality.
• Maintaining accurate as-built drawings and quality assurance records.
• Assisting with site planning, temporary works coordination, and material control.
• Providing technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
• Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/Degree or equivalent)
• Proven experience in setting out RC frame and groundwork projects
• Proficiency in using total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD
• Strong communication and coordination skills
