Job description

Gortmore is working for a leading contractor who is looking for a Site Engineer for a Civil project in the Birmingham area.

The candidate must:

1. Have previous experience working on civils projects, including piling, groundworks, etc.
2. Possess excellent knowledge of laser levels, total stations, and GPS equipment.
3. Monitor, manage, and distribute project information to the site team, ensuring accurate setting out and dimensional control.
4. Ensure the works are constructed according to the latest design and agreed specifications.
5. Ensure project QA procedures are followed and the site diary is maintained.
6. Be competent in AutoCAD, reading drawings, and quantifying materials.
7. Carry out ITPs, KPIs, RFIs, etc.
8. Have excellent communication skills for distributing project information to colleagues.
9. Possess strong problem-solving skills and be proactive in raising potential issues.
