Job summary

Careys is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure scheme in Bedford. You will support delivery on a high-profile project, ensuring setting out accuracy, drawing compliance, and QA documentation.

The role requires Civil/Structural engineering education and hands-on experience with RC frames or civil works, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. onsite, full-time, permanent.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Experience on RC frame or civil projects.
• Competent in setting out and interpreting drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and QA processes.
• Proficient with digital tools: AutoCAD, surveying equipment, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and dimensional control using modern survey equipment.
• Ensure works delivered in line with drawings, specs and tolerances.
• Review construction information, raise RFIs, support buildability improvements.
• Supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Maintain accurate records including as-builts, QA docs, and ITPs.
• Monitor progress against programme and assist short-term planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

We are looking for a motivated Site Engineer to join our team on a major infrastructure scheme on Universal Studios Resort in Bedford . This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills on a high-profile scheme while supporting the successful delivery of complex works.

What you will be doing:

• Carry out setting out and dimensional control using modern survey equipment
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and tolerances
• Review construction information, raise RFIs, and support buildability improvements
