We're looking for a passionate and experienced Site Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at ICL Boulby. As the backbone of our operations, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our mine and surface assets.

About the role

• The successful candidate will hold the pivotal role of Appointed Mine Electrical Engineer, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry regulations.
• Set and enforce engineering standards to guarantee the safe and productive operation of our assets.
• Spearhead the identification and implementation of best practices to optimise operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and support to our operational teams.
• Stay ahead of the curve by continually exploring and integrating new technologies and practices.
• Lead capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and financial requirements.

About you

• You must be experienced with all aspects of electrical equipment within the mining, tunnelling, and civil industries.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques to improve machine reliability.
• Extensive knowledge of ‘The Mines Regulations 2014 and Industry Regulations’.
• Experienced in HV distribution and systems.

Qualifications

You must hold the following qualifications/certificates:

• You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE), Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IMMM), or another relevant institution.
• NEBOSH General Certificate.
• IET Regulations BS7671.
• Safety Auditing.
