We're looking for a passionate and experienced Site Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at ICL Boulby. As a key part of our operations, you'll ensure the safety and efficiency of our mine and surface assets.
About the role
- The successful candidate will serve as the Appointed Mine Electrical Engineer, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry regulations.
- Set and enforce engineering standards for safe and productive operations.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimise efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and support to operational teams.
- Continuously explore and adopt new technologies and practices.
- Lead capital projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and financial adherence.
About you
- Experience with electrical equipment in mining, tunnelling, and civil industries.
- Knowledge of maintenance techniques to improve machine reliability.
- Familiarity with The Mines Regulations 2014 and industry standards.
- Experience with HV distribution and systems.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications and certificates:
- Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Member of IET, IEE, IM3, or a relevant institution.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Regulations BS7671.
- Safety auditing experience.
