Job summary

Rand Refinery Limited in the United Kingdom invites applications for a Site Electrical Engineer. You will ensure safe, compliant operation of electrical infrastructure, focusing on maintenance, management, and optimisation of medium voltage systems, utilities, and solar PV/micro-grid installations.

The role requires involvement in audits, capital projects, and training to develop engineering capability across the site, with a focus on energy efficiency and ESG initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with OHSA and Regulations in relation to machinery, with a strong focus on electrical infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain all medium voltage electrical installations, including Solar PV and micro-grid systems.
• Ensure plant and machinery comply with internal and external engineering standards and specifications.
• Participate in capital projects and provide technical expertise to support execution and delivery.
• Oversee site utilities (electricity, gas, and water), including performance monitoring, reporting, and supplier engagement.
• Drive energy efficiency and ESG-related initiatives across the site.
• Ensure the successful navigation of all internal and external audits in relation to the supervision and maintenance of machinery.
• Compile and present technical and operational reports to management and statutory authorities.
• Lead and develop engineering capability within the organisation through training and mentorship.
