Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the team on an EP&R project in Sittingbourne, Kent.

This permanent, full-time role focuses on electrical design, safety compliance and procurement across HV/LV systems, with opportunities to contribute to multinational projects. The position supports growth within a leading provider of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering solutions, with emphasis on wellbeing, CPD, and career development.

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in power and renewables sector.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
• Team-oriented and high performing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
• Comply with project safety requirements.
• Detailed design of HV/LV equipment and control/protection systems.
• Specification, selection and procurement of equipment.
• Prepare technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
• Assist with preparation of technical and contract documentation.
• Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join Suir Engineering Ltd. This position will be supporting EP&R project in Sittingbourne, Kent

What you will be doing

• Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams
• Complying with specific project safety requirements
• Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
• Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment
• Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
• Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
• Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments.

Is this job for me?

• Suitable Candidates must have a third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in the power and renewables sector.
