Site EHS Advisor – Aerospace Manufacturing
Portsmouth | £35,000 – £40,000 | 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off)

Are you ready to take the next step in your EHS career?

An established aerospace manufacturing business based in Portsmouth is seeking a Site EHS Advisor to support and drive environmental, health, and safety standards across their busy and highly regulated site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to move into a more senior EHS role, with future progression into management available for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support the ongoing compliance and improvement of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 systems.

  • Assist with risk assessments (COSHH, machinery, confined space, etc.), air monitoring, and workplace noise/vibration surveys.

  • Support on fire risk, DSEAR, and emergency response protocols.

  • Deliver safety training and contribute to the site's learning and development plan.

  • Carry out routine safety audits, inspections, and ergonomic assessments.

  • Work closely with the Senior EHS Advisor and site leadership to develop a positive safety culture.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure legal compliance.

  • Support environmental permits and health surveillance on site.

  • Participate in lean HSE practices, such as standard work and visual management.

What We’re Looking For
  • Prior experience in a health & safety, EHS, or HSE support role.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering environments (aerospace desirable).

  • A proactive mindset with strong interpersonal and admin skills.

  • Passion for career development in health, safety, and environmental practices.

  • Competence with Microsoft Excel and general data tools.

Working Hours
  • Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 16:15

  • Friday: 07:30 – 16:00

  • Bonus: Every other Friday off!
