Job summary

Roughan O'Donovan (ROD) is seeking a site development engineer with 3–7 years’ experience to join our buildings team on a permanent basis. You will design and coordinate all external works for our building projects, contributing to high-quality, cost-effective, sustainable developments across residential, healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.

Essential

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
• Site development design experience for building projects (access roads, car parks, drainage, water, SuDS)
• Three to seven years' relevant experience and sector knowledge
• Proven technical knowledge and engineering skills
• Experience of designing drainage and water supply systems
• Ability to produce quality design outputs
• Flexible, motivated and focused
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
• Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English

Desirable

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Proficiency in WinDes/Microdrainage
• Experience in site level design
• Experience in road design
• Client-facing skills
• Strong communications skills
• Good MS Office skills
• Membership of a professional body, such as Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Civil Engineers
