The Opportunity

In both client facing and internal roles, we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are committed to delivering safe, high quality, and timely solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Reporting to the Site Delivery Lead, you will support the overarching direction & leadership of activities associated with the full lifecycle delivery of the Temporary Construction Area sub-programme. You will lead/manage a team of Senior Project Managers and Managers, ensuring delivery of scope including Earthworks, Enabling works (UXO, ecology, archaeology), Civils, Networks, and Buildings.

This role involves managing a matrix team of wider disciplines, including the nuclear new build supply chain team, quality team, and suppliers.

You will assist the Site Delivery Lead in developing strategies to deliver scope to cost, schedule, and quality, and ensure operational delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities in line with the overall project schedule.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Define work scope and interfaces within contracts or packages of work.
• Secure resources with the Site Delivery Lead, maintaining SQEP for assigned personnel and addressing shortfalls.
• Provide direction to ensure effective execution of strategies in line with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
• Maintain effective stakeholder communication and execute project strategies.
• Drive contract or package activity delivery, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and technical compliance.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and report to the Site Delivery Leadership team.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and update project plans and budgets accordingly.
• Develop and maintain schedules within the overall project timeline.
• Ensure delivery of the List of Deliverables (LOD).
• Apply principles of Continuous Improvement and knowledge capture.
• Coordinate with other programmes for best practices.
• Fulfill contractual requirements and establish effective working relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven project delivery experience in complex, regulated environments, preferably Nuclear Energy.
• Experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Strong management skills in project, financial, change management, and facilitation.
• Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, and risk tools.
• Experience managing contractors and consultants under NEC and FIDIC contracts.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and organizational skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Detailed understanding of EPR design and experience.
• Degree and chartered status in engineering or related field.
• Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
• Experience with Project Management methodologies, such as APM and Prince2.
• Experience managing projects from concept to handover.
