Are you experienced in delivering projects within complex and regulated environments, such as the Nuclear Energy sector? Do you possess strong management skills including project, financial, and change management? Are you interested in contributing to the UK’s NetZero targets?

The Opportunity

We are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on safety, quality, and collaboration. Reporting to the Site Delivery Lead, you will support the full lifecycle delivery of the Temporary Construction Area sub-programme, managing a team of Senior Project Managers and Managers across Earthworks, Enabling works, Civils, Networks, and Buildings. You will also coordinate with the wider project delivery team and ensure operational delivery in line with the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Define work scope and interfaces within contracts and with other programme elements.
• Secure resources, maintain SQEP, and address personnel issues.
• Provide direction to ensure effective execution of strategies and plans.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and execute project strategies.
• Drive contract activities to meet safety, time, budget, and technical requirements.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and develop updates to the programme or budget.
• Maintain scope schedule, escalate discrepancies, and ensure deliverables.
• Apply continuous improvement principles and capture lessons learned.
• Collaborate with other programmes and ensure contractual compliance.
• Establish effective working relationships within the project team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in delivering complex projects, ideally in regulated environments like nuclear energy.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and managing contractors and consultants.
• Strong management skills in project, financial, and change management.
• Proficiency in estimating, scheduling, and risk tools.
• Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts, and understanding of EPR design.
• Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, or related field.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and project management standards (APM, Prince2).
