At PGS Group, we are seeking a proactive Site Coordinator to join our team at our pallet site in the Essex area (Grays).
As part of a vertically integrated, fast-growing group that operates from "tree to truck," you will contribute to our mission of efficiency and quality.
What tasks will you perform?
- Have an in-depth knowledge of all practical activities - sort, repair, FLT tasks, PEFC, stock management and automation logic.
- Support the Site Manager and be responsible for the site HR and QHSE compliance.
- Responsible for monitoring and achieving production deadlines and KPI's.
- Through KPI management, support the achievement of weekly P+L targets.
- Accurate processing of all PGS Group & LPR paperwork.
- Responsible for all shifts following LPR's quality and spec.
- Having knowledge of all administration tasks - PGS Group & LPR business systems.
- Lead, develop, support and encourage your teams.
- Setting the example and showing best practice.
- Assuring that teams have all they need to complete daily tasks.
- Be able to host LPR auditor and other site visits.
- Customer interaction and reporting.
- Drive site engagement in teams, drive team and individual development / succession.
- Ensure compliance with both the statutory Health and Safety requirements and Company Health and safety requirements.
- Escalate any issues outside authority level.
- Demonstrate the Company Values in the undertaking of their role
- Undertake any other reasonable task as required
- Undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal developments needs and business requirements
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience of a production environment is essential – preferably within pallet pooling.
- Knowledge of pallet sort, repair and yard activities for quality and operational benefits.
- Mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
- Able to use own initiative and motivate, coach others.
- Demonstrate personal integrity.
- Be flexible and adaptable to customer demands and production volume fluctuations.
- A high level of numeracy and accuracy.
- Excellent PC skills is an advantage.
- Safety and quality conscious, result-oriented.
- Knowledge of English, knowledge of other languages is a big plus.
- You prefer to work full-time.
