The Site Controller ensures compliance with financial policies, ICRF controls, and supports continuous improvement of internal business processes in line with the Life Sciences growth and profitability model for our Taunton, MA facility.


The role leads the site's annual reforecasting, budgeting, and planning, providing explanations for variances and analyzing actuals versus forecasts. Ensures timely month-end reporting and financial close, focusing on forward-looking planning to support growth. Provides financial analysis and strategic recommendations, partners in decision-making, identifies corrective actions, enforces accountability, and promotes financial responsibility.


Oversees the monthly close process to meet deadlines, prepares and approves journal entries and reconciliations, and maintains the accuracy of the balance sheet, working capital, and fixed assets. Drives cost and waste reduction, facilitates loss identification, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Functions:



  • Manages month-end close activities in QAD, including DSS inputs, reconciliations, and uploads to Blackline. Coordinates internal financial reporting such as operational analysis, trend reports, and weekly flash reports.

  • Leads annual ICRF gap analysis, ensures execution of action plans, and maintains internal controls, including segregation of duties and system access. Evaluates and improves accounting processes through innovative solutions.

  • Supports LS & Operations Controller with ad hoc requests, planning, budgeting, and standard cost development. Collaborates with plant leadership to ensure accurate financial performance insights and proactively addresses issues.

  • Supports CI/WCM initiatives by participating in Kaizens and problem-solving events, ensuring projects meet financial objectives. Co-manages capital processes and develops financial models for decision-making.

  • Coordinates physical inventory and cycle counts to meet site goals, ensuring compliance with policies.

Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field - Required

  • Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field - Preferred


Experience:



  • Strong analytical skills to understand plant financial issues

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, capable of leading teams and working independently

  • Proficiency in desktop reporting, business warehouse tools, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP preferred
