Job summary

Imperial Recruitment Group seeks a Construction Manager in Sunderland to oversee site deliverables within the project scope, ensuring safe completion for people, plant and environment. You may mobilize site teams, manage equipment and subcontractors, and keep client KPI's aligned with schedule.

You will coordinate site documentation, CDM compliance, and risk assessments, liaise with client and Project Manager, and drive continuous improvement across site works.

Qualifications

• HND/Degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• CSCS Black or equivalent site management qualification.
• SMSTS qualification.
• EMSS Safety Passport qualification.
• NEEBOSH qualification.
• Slinger/Signaller/Banksman qualification.
• Knowledge of COSHH.
• Understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Be available to travel UK/overseas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct site-based teams, including Site Managers where applicable.
• Manage and coordinate contractors on site.
• Create, manage and monitor site documentation (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Lift Plans).
• Maintain/update H&S files and all CDM requirements.
• Provide guidance on schedule durations for site activities.
• Review contractor proposals for alignment with scope.
• Oversee procurement of equipment, plant and spares.
• Report progress and risks to Project Manager and client.
