Location: Outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) from £35K upwards

Hours: Monday to Friday - 47.5 hour week 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (1 hour for lunch), Saturday mornings (rota basis)

They are now seeking a proactive and organized Quarry Coordinator to join their dynamic team, ensuring the smooth operation of their quarry site.

The Role

As a Quarry Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations at their quarry. You will be responsible for coordinating trades, managing stock, and handling administrative tasks to ensure the site runs efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule trades and contractors onsite to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
• Order and manage stock, including spare parts, materials, and equipment, ensuring timely availability.
• Perform general office duties, including maintaining records, processing orders, and liaising with suppliers and customers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Liaise with site management and other departments to support operational goals.
• Monitor and report on stock levels, site activities, and any operational issues.
• Assist with planning and scheduling of quarry activities to meet production targets.

What They Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the quarrying, construction, or aggregates industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with trades, suppliers, and team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with stock management systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a quarry or similar environment is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• A proactive attitude with problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Full UK driving license is required.
