Job summary

Venesky-Brown is currently recruiting a Site Cleaner to support a major infrastructure project. The role is based mainly at the Haslingden area, with occasional travel to other project locations.

You will maintain clean, safe welfare facilities across the compound and adhere to all site health and hygiene procedures. The role requires a valid CSCS card, a full clean UK driving licence, and prior cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean site offices, canteens and communal areas.
• Clean toilets, washrooms, showers and changing facilities.
• Maintain welfare facilities across the construction compound.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
• Wipe surfaces and communal touch points.
• Clean kitchen and canteen areas, tables, sinks and worktops.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste.
• Replenish toilet rolls, soap and paper towels.
• Report shortages, damaged facilities or maintenance issues.
• Support general housekeeping across the construction site.
• Travel to other welfare locations when required.
• Follow all site health, safety and hygiene procedures.

Site Cleaner – Construction Project (V-218907-1)

Location Rawtenstall, England Sector Building & Construction Salary £14.50 to £21.75 per hour

Venesky-Brown is currently recruiting for a Site Cleaner to support a major infrastructure project based primarily at the main project construction compound, This is a general welfare cleaning role within an active construction environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe and hygienic welfare facilities across the compound. The role will be primarily based at Haslingden, although occasional travel to other project locations may be required, so a full clean driving licence is essential. Duties will include

• Cleaning site offices, canteens and communal areas
• Cleaning toilets, washrooms, showers and changing facilities
• Cleaning drying rooms and other welfare facilities
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Wiping down surfaces and communal touch points
• Cleaning kitchen and canteen areas, including tables, sinks and worktops
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Replenishing toilet rolls, hand soap, paper towels and other welfare supplies
• Maintaining entrances, corridors and shared areas
• Keeping cleaning materials and equipment stored safely
• Reporting any shortages, damaged facilities or maintenance issues
• Supporting general housekeeping across the construction compound
• Travelling to other project welfare locations occasionally when required
• Following all site health, safety and hygiene procedures

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card
• Previous cleaning experience
• Experience working on a construction site, industrial site or similar environment would be beneficial
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working independently within an active construction environment
• Good attention to detail

The successful candidate will also be required to complete the following prior to starting:

• DBS check
• Water SHEA training
• Water Hygiene training

Venesky-Brown will arrange the required project-specific onboarding and training for the successful candidate.
Pay

• £14.50 per hour PAYE basic rate
• Monday–Friday night shift / early hours: £18.13 per hour
• Saturday: £21.75 per hour
• Sunday: £21.75 per hour
• Public Holidays: £29.00 per hour

Additional hours and overtime may be available depending on project requirements.
