Job summary

OCC Group is recruiting a Site Civil Engineer to join an EP&R project in Kilmarnock. You will provide precise setting-out points, interpret drawings and ensure designs are implemented to plan, while maintaining safety and quality on site.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years setting-out experience, with strong knowledge of surveying tools and software such as Trimble, AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Travel to multiple sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years setting out on construction sites.
• Proficient with surveying equipment and software (Trimble, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Use surveying equipment to establish accurate points, lines and levels on site.
• Interpret drawings and plans to ensure correct setting out of elements.
• Mark reference points and guide teams to follow dimensions precisely.
• Inspect work for quality and conformance to plans and standards.
• Identify deviations and coordinate with the project team to resolve.
• Maintain records of setting-out activities and measurements.
• Prepare progress reports and brief senior engineers and managers.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated and in good condition.
