Suir Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our EP&R project team in Kilmarnock. You will lead setting-out activities, verify alignment with drawings and specs, and support site teams to deliver quality outcomes.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years setting-out experience, with proficiency in total stations, GPS, laser levels, AutoCAD and Civil 3D. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK and Ireland are essential.

• 4+ years setting out experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites in Ireland.

The Setting Out Engineer is responsible for providing accurate and precise setting out points and measurements on construction sites, ensuring that the structure or infrastructure being built aligns with the project plans and specifications. This role plays a crucial part in the successful completion of construction projects by providing technical support, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that work is executed correctly.

• Interpret and analyze construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate setting out of construction elements.
• Mark out reference points and guide construction teams to follow accurate dimensions.

Is this job for me?
