JOB POSITION: Site Civil Engineer

KEY INFORMATION:

• Settled status, permanent right to work in the UK
• 10-15 years of experience

EXPERTISE:

The activities will be performed at the Hinkley Point C site. You will be required to follow a project working method with high expectations regarding delivery time, schedule, security, and nuclear safety.

• Receive, analyze, and verify the consistency of input data
• Produce technical deliverables (design hypotheses, methodology, and assumption notes, calculation notes)
• Perform technical verifications of civil engineering design notes, models, and drawings
• Manage transverse civil engineering open points through to resolution, review, and acceptance of Level 3 Civil Design Substantiation Reports
• Collaborate and engage with stakeholders to ensure consistency of civil transverse knowledge and approach across the full scope of Nuclear Island Buildings, through meetings and surveillance
• Support site-based engineering teams to facilitate issue resolution impacting site construction, liaising with subject matter experts to utilize organizational learning and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in concrete structure design
• Experience in detailed or conceptual design, either in an office or on a civil construction site
• Experience supporting site design activities

Software and Tools:

TEKLA, AutoCAD, Navisworks, PDMS (or any 3D design software), Eurocodes
