Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to support on-site delivery of civil engineering projects in Glasgow. You will set out and manage day-to-day activities, ensuring accuracy, safety and alignment with drawings, specifications and programme.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering qualification (Degree or HNC/HND), a CSCS card, and CAD experience, plus strong communication and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• CSCS card (Engineering or above).
• Experience using CAD.

Responsibilities

• Set out and manage day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring accuracy and quality of works
• Support the planning and delivery of civil construction works in line with drawings, specifications and RAMS
• Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors and project teams to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, carrying out inspections and maintaining site records
• Assist with progress reporting, quality checks and as-built documentation

Civil Site Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Hours: 40 Hours - Monday to Friday

We're looking for a Civil Site Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering projects on site, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in line with programme and specification.

Role Responsibilities

• Set out and manage day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring accuracy and quality of works

Required Qualifications

• CSCS card (Engineering or above)

• Strong setting-out skills and ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation within a construction environment
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across site teams
