Opportunity for an Experienced Hazardous Waste Site Chemist or Chemistry Graduate

Join a leading waste management company as a Site Chemist / Chemistry Graduate - Hazardous Waste.

Details:

• Salary: Graduate level from 26,000 up to 36,000 with hazardous waste sector experience
• Location: Avonmouth Area

Role Overview:

This predominantly site-based role involves working outdoors, with approximately 75% of tasks conducted on-site and limited laboratory work. You will be responsible for unloading and testing incoming materials for pH, flammability, and compatibility, ensuring proper labeling and completing necessary paperwork, all while adhering to safety, environmental, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Driving license is essential due to the location.
• Ideal candidates may include experienced Site Chemists, Process Chemists, Technical Assessors, Transfer Station Chemists, Laboratory Technicians, Industrial Chemists, Shift Chemists, or Reception Chemists with at least an HNC qualification.
• Recent Chemistry or Biochemistry graduates with a minimum of HNC are encouraged to apply.
• Forklift or yard/warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
• A willingness to work outdoors and interests in outdoor activities (e.g., sports, Duke of Edinburgh, outdoor hobbies) are desirable.
