Description:

We serve the entire industrial complex with high safety and quality standards.

We are currently seeking a Site Chemist to join us in Liverpool.

The role
  • Organise Tradebe’s incoming waste loads, acceptance, and inspection to maintain high standards.
  • Manage waste routing and diversion to maximize efficiency.
  • Provide technical assessment services to support site management and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with BMS procedures for waste acceptance and recording, including recyclates.
  • Work outdoors on-site in various elements.

You will be tasked with:

  • Supporting and controlling analytical testing and assessment requirements, including EA/UU technical issues.
  • Ensuring operations comply with BMS, ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Identifying opportunities and trends in technical control systems for continuous improvement.
  • Raising non-conformances on incoming loads as per BMS procedures.
  • Generating load and dispatch paperwork in line with company and legislative requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records, including stock control, production, and in-process records.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support company growth.
The person

Ideally, you will have:

  • Educated to HNC standard.
  • Good organization and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in IT (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Energetic self-starter with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Team player capable of working under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and lead others.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience handling hazardous wastes.
