Job description

We're looking to add a Project Engineer to our team here at Vipond, for an onsite role, initially Glasgow and Warrington. This opportunity would suit someone looking to take the next step to becoming a Project Manager. This role requires staying away on occasion.

SALARY: Up to £40K depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to project initiation/handover meetings with stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.
• Production and maintenance of project programme.
• Communication with clients throughout the project.
• Maintenance of central project file records.
• Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CVR) meetings.
• Completion and submission of end-of-project documentation, e.g., O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.

Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• Experience managing small to large budget projects (£5k to £2m) in the construction industry.
• Experience supervising on-site labour and resources.
• Current & relevant SMSTS & CSCS Card.
• Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
• Relevant NVQ/NHD/HNC/City & Guilds within Building Services or Mechanical discipline.

As a Sprinkler Project Engineer, you will support the Project/Site Manager(s) within the Main Contracts (Special Risk division) to deliver fire protection projects on time, within budget, and according to customer and regulatory requirements.

You will gain valuable experience working on a variety of projects, including commercial, energy-from-waste, warehouses, and distribution centers.
