Qualifications

Static Technical Operative (Mechanical)

Location: West Yorkshire (Public Sector Contract)

Contract Type: Permanent | Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

A leading FM service provider is recruiting a Static Technical Operative (Mechanical) to join our team supporting a public sector contract in West Yorkshire. This is a great opportunity to work with a trusted facilities management company, ensuring the efficient operation of building systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reactive and planned mechanical maintenance, including minor works and replacements.
  • Manage HVAC systems, BMS, and cooling towers.
  • Complete tasks using CAFM systems like Maximo.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety standards.
  • Liaise with subcontractors for electrical and FM work.
  • Ensure availability of materials and plan remedial works.
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-outs and emergency support.
  • Assist with compliance and asset reports.
  • Meet contract KPIs and SLAs.
  • Represent the company professionally on-site.
What We're Looking For
  • Recognised Mechanical qualifications (Level 2)
  • Experience with BMS, HVAC, LTHW/CHW systems, pumps, motors, and LV systems
  • Experience with cooling towers is desirable
  • Knowledge of Water Hygiene (L8 ACOP) and Permit to Work systems
  • Ability to obtain Authorised Person (AP) status within 3 months
