Job summary

Müller Milk & Ingredients Severnside Dairy is recruiting an Electrical & Automation Support Engineer to join our Severnside Blowmoulding site on a full-time permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering cost-effective maintenance, improving asset reliability, and supporting the automation infrastructure to meet the annual maintenance plan and operational demands.

You will work to develop systems, improve automation performance across the site, and support central automation teams to maintain

Qualifications

• Educated in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, apprenticeship preferred.
• Strong fault-finding within electrical panels and during breakdowns.
• PLC programming knowledge in Siemens S7 and Allen-Bradley; SCADA experience.
• Understanding of industrial networking and ability to develop INTOUCH applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft products and data-driven improvement activities.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across engineering, facilities and site roadmap activity.
• Provide specialist electrical and automation support for reactive issues and improvement initiatives.
• Support minor automation Capex projects and site automation elements.
• Collaborate with central automation teams to maintain standards, docs and version control.
• Own obsolescence plans, controls and health checks on panels.
• Use site data to identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality and reliability.
• Coach colleagues to develop automation knowledge with health & safety focus.
