Job summary

Elstow School is seeking a proactive Site Assistant to join our dedicated Facilities Team. The role is permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) with shifts Monday to Friday 6:30am–10:30am. The successful candidate will perform general repairs, liaise with contractors, and help keep our school safe and well maintained.

Essential duties include securing premises, managing heating and lighting, and basic vehicle-related tasks. A willingness to undertake safeguarding checks and training is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of building maintenance, caretaking, site or premises work.
• Experience of carrying out basic repairs and maintenance.
• Experience of opening, closing and securing buildings.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and use own initiative.
• Substantial knowledge of Health and Safety, including COSHH.
• An understanding of safeguarding.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training. Current valid full driving licence is preferable with either D1/D1 extension.

Elstow School are seeking a proactive and hands-on Site Assistant to join our dedicated Facilities Team. The ideal candidate for this physically demanding job will be an individual with good handy-person skills and eagerness to carry out the work in an efficient manner.

We are seeking a committed Site Assistant who will carry out general repairs and maintenance, liaise with contractors and suppliers and ensure our school maintains a high level of health and safety.

You will join our friendly and hardworking facilities department to help keep our school safe, clean and in a good state of repair.

Job Specifics

Job role: Permanent, Part-Time, 52 weeks per year , 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday 6:30am- 10:30am
