Job Purpose
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for site activities at our coatings manufacturing facility in Leyland. This will include direct responsibility for site engineering. We will look to you to continuously improve the performance of site operation metrics as well as ensure delivery of site objectives in safety, quality, cost, service, productivity, people & talent development.

Job Responsibilities
• Plan, oversee, organise & control site manufacturing & engineering performance.
• Own the site manufacturing strategy & master plan.
• Contribute to the definition of business objectives.
• Establish, deliver, encourage & continuously improve the performance levels for the site in terms of customer service, safety, cost, quality, material efficiency, capital, engagement & resource productivity.
• Design, install & safely maintain assets.
• Coach, mentor & develop the site management team members.
• Nurture a customer focused ‘best practice’ culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues nationally to develop & share knowledge & expertise.
• Nurture the talent pipeline by developing people resources.

Job Requirements
• Degree in a relevant subject.
• Qualified as a mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineer
• Extensive experience of working in an industrial or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Used to nurturing & inspiring engineering/manufacturing teams.
