Overview

The Site Agent will be based on our York Central site, overseeing two large structures over the East Coast mainline. He/she is the construction leader on the ground, managing the overall day-to-day supervision of the construction site. The Site Agent will monitor site preparation prior to project launch and oversee safe and efficient operations throughout the construction phase.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in compiling the initial programme and maintain awareness of weekly targets
  • Plan and oversee site setup, ensuring facilities are in place prior to project launch
  • Manage relationships with sub-contractors onsite
  • Ensure adherence to HSEQS protocols at all times
  • Maintain quality control procedures
  • Ensure TWR is in place and up to date
  • Monitor onsite energy and waste data
  • Implement an efficient registration system for individuals entering and leaving the site
  • Report issues impacting project delivery to Contract Management/Commercial Teams
  • Drive project pace and plan fieldwork
  • Coordinate and prioritize onsite activities
  • Manage a team of foremen and site staff
Experience
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge of industrial relations practices
  • Ability to handle conflicting priorities and stakeholders, especially subcontractors
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to audience
  • Ability to build consensus
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Over ten years of sectoral project experience
  • Leadership experience with medium to large projects
  • Rail experience is desirable
Qualifications
  • Trade or technical background
  • IOSH or equivalent HSE management training
  • Training in Temporary Works & Excavation Safety
  • Permitting for live energy works
  • Working at Heights & Scaffolding
  • Lifting & Cranage operations

  • Knowledge of new construction technology systems
  • Understanding of BIM strategy
