Job description

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with our client, a leading contractor specializing in civil engineering within major infrastructure sectors, including nuclear, highways, and large-scale projects. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and sustainability, they are committed to delivering complex engineering solutions that support the UK's infrastructure growth. We are looking to recruit a Site Agent for its Sizewell C site.


The Site Agent role is vital for ensuring the successful delivery of this exciting project and comes with a salary up to £63,000, car allowance, and private health care.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will:

  1. Lead the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, program, and financial targets.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
  3. Oversee the production of detailed construction programmes, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery of critical activities.
  4. Manage project risks, costs, and resources while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  5. Develop and support the project team, ensuring all members understand their responsibilities and are aligned with the project objectives.
  6. Monitor and manage project changes, providing clear communication on the impact of changes to cost and time.
  7. Prepare regular reports on project progress, highlighting risks, issues, and milestones to both internal and client teams.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  1. Proven leadership and management skills within civil engineering projects.
  2. Strong understanding of the CDM Regulations and experience in implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  3. Experience producing and managing Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and cost plans.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
