Site Agent - A382 Highway Scheme (Newton Abbot)

Pay: £45/hr CIS

Start: ASAP | Duration: Until February 2026

Sector: Civil Engineering / Highways

We\'re recruiting for a Site Agent to join a major highways improvement project (A382, Newton Abbot) on behalf of a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor working with Devon County Council.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in day-to-day site operations
• Manage direct staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver works safely, on time and to budget
• Oversee programme planning, method statements, and permits
• Liaise with local stakeholders and third parties
• Work closely with the commercial team on reporting, cost capture and change control
• Maintain accurate site records, diaries and quality documentation

Requirements

• Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• CSCS & SMSTS (essential)
• Strong highways or infrastructure project experience
• Proven leadership and organisational skills
