Job description

My client, a Major contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to work on a multi-discipline civil project in Hampshire.

The client has been established for over 30 years within the civil engineering marine sector, working on multi-discipline schemes across the south within Marine, Flood Defence, Structures, and Environmental sectors. They maintain a strong pipeline of work with low staff turnover.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participates in compiling the initial programme and has a full awareness of weekly targets.
2. Plans and oversees the site setup, ensuring that the appropriate facilities are in place prior to the project launch.
3. Manages the relationship with sub-contractors while working onsite.
4. Takes ownership for ensuring that HSEQS protocols are adhered to on sites at all times.
5. Maintains quality control procedures at all times.
6. Ensures that the TWR is in place and is up to date.
7. Drives the pace of the project and plans the work in the field.
8. Coordinates and prioritizes the sequence of activities on site.
9. Manages a team of foremen and other site staff.
10. Ensures that all employees adhere to appropriate protocols in the event of an incident onsite.
11. Relates company commercial strategy to own activities.
12. Operates the site on a holistic ‘cradle to grave’ project management approach.
13. Communicates the site requirements effectively to the commercial team.
