Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support a Merseyrail project in Merseyside. This is a short-term, full-time assignment for an engineer with rail, civil or infrastructure background.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise site teams and supply chain, and ensure works align with programme, RAMS and quality requirements. A proactive leader is essential to drive safety and effective communication on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager in civil engineering or rail projects.
• Strong knowledge of site management, delivery, and RAMS compliance.
• Excellent health, safety and quality understanding.
• Rail experience is advantageous.
• Local commuter to Merseyside required.
• Available to start November 2026.

Site Agent - Merseyrail Project

Location: Merseyside
Start: November 2026
Duration: 4-6 weeks
Role: Site Agent
Working: Monday-Friday, daily site attendance

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Agent to support a major rail infrastructure project in the Merseyside area.

This is an excellent short-term opportunity for an experienced Agent with a strong background in rail, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

The role will involve:

• Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Supervising site teams, subcontractors and supply chain.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the programme, quality requirements and relevant RAMS.
• Coordinating with the wider project management team and stakeholders.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Providing strong leadership and maintaining effective communication across site.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Agent / Site Manager within civil engineering, rail or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of site management and delivery.
• Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality requirements.
• Relevant site qualifications, ideally including SMSTS.
• Rail experience would be highly advantageous.
• Must be locally based and able to commute to site daily.
• Available to start in November 2026.

Duration: Approximately 4-6 weeks, with the potential for further opportunities depending on project requirements.
