Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Site Agent, based at Testwood, working on our CMDP JV with MWH Treatment and Costain.

You will report directly to the Site Manager, and your role will involve providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in a safe manner, whilst maintaining appropriate site records.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and comply with the company's safe working practices.
  2. Assist in preparing construction programmes, Method Statements, Action Plans, and Risk Assessments.
  3. Setting out the works.
  4. Checking site work to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  5. Agreeing on site measurements and records with the client’s staff.
  6. Assist in maintaining drawing files, the drawing register, and site filing system.
  7. Liaising with the design department to ensure updated information is used.
  8. Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and assisting in the preparation of requisitions.
  9. Assist in preparing construction completion documentation.
  10. Ensure work is constructed to a good quality, in line with specifications and good practices.
  11. Maintain quality records.
  12. Ensure all works comply with current legislation, the company health & safety policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
  13. Establish and maintain good, honest, and open communication lines.
  14. Lead by example in safety behaviors as a Site Engineer.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction (minimum)
  • Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic levels)

Desirable qualifications:

  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • SSSTS
  • CSCS Supervision card
  • EUSR SHEA Water
