Balfour Beatty plc Balvac is seeking a Site Agent to join our Balvac team, delivering structural repair and refurbishment on UK infrastructure projects. You will lead site teams, manage contracts, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with clients such as National Highways and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management and supervision of Balvac and subcontract resources.
• Lead project teams to deliver on time, to cost and to quality targets.
• Ensure works follow contract drawings, specifications and PMP/ITP requirements.
• Manage site dimensional control and setting-out facilities.
• Produce site documentation and project management plans as required.
• Develop construction methods statements and risk assessments.
• Prepare and deliver scheme programmes and monitor progress.

About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for aSite Agentto join ourBalvac team.

For over 90 years our business has been delivering innovative structural repair, strengthening, protection and maintenance solutions to sustainably extend the life of our nation's infrastructure.

Our clients include National Highways as well as some of the major local authorities across the UK. Whilst our key focus is Transport Infrastructure, we also provide professional services across power, energy, industrial, defence, coastal & marine sectors.

With an ever-increasing portfolio and a major expansion planned, we are looking to identify several talented individuals (Contracts Engineers, Site Agents, Project Managers & Specialist Services Engineers) based across the country to join this high-octane energy driven team.

To provide the day-to-day management and supervision of Balvac and subcontract resources.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Agent, you will have the following accountabilities:

• Manage the project team and supply chain to deliver projects to time, cost and quality targets and standards
• Ensure the Company procedures and policies i.e. the Business Management System are followed in delivery
• Understand the relevant Contract terms and conditions for the project
• Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the contract drawings, specification and Project Management Plan
• Manage site dimensional control ensuring that contractors have the facilities for setting out of the works
• Produce all site documentation for delivery of the works including PMP, PVPMP, ITP, Construction Phase Management Plan etc as required across a number of schemes
• Produce and review construction methods statements and risk assessments, ensuring that the works are constructed efficiently and safely
• Produce scheme programmes then deliver to the programme, measuring progress and productivity outputs.

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

• Experience in delivery of structural repair/specialist repair projects
• Experience of working on Infrastructure schemes
• Ability to manage teams efficiently
• Ability to manage individual scheme costs
• Ability to manage Health and Safety including Behavioural Safety
• Ability to lead, communicate and influence with others to deliver targets.
