Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support highway and civil engineering delivery in the Dudley area on a freelance basis. You will report to the Contracts Manager and work alongside the Site Manager to ensure safe, on-time project completion.

Key responsibilities include coordinating drainage, kerbing, paving, and 278 works, managing subcontractors and resources, and maintaining strict health and safety standards. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent in civil engineering or highways.
• Experience delivering drainage, kerbing and paving works.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• SMSTS holder with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations across drainage, kerbing, paving and Section 278 works.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
• Monitoring programme performance and ensuring works are delivered on schedule.
• Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Conducting site inspections and overseeing quality control processes.
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager.
• Liaising with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works.
• Supporting the Site Manager with overall project performance.
• Identifying and resolving site issues to minimise delays.

A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of infrastructure and highways projects in the Dudley area. With a strong order book and a reputation for delivering complex civil engineering schemes, they are looking for a proactive individual to join the team on a freelance basis.

Your new role

As Site Agent, you will work alongside the Site Manager and report directly to the Contracts Manager, taking responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of a highway and civil engineering scheme in Dudley.

• Managing day-to-day site operations across drainage, kerbing, paving and Section 278 works
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials
• Monitoring programme performance and ensuring works are delivered on schedule
• Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Conducting site inspections and overseeing quality control processes
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager
• Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works
