Job summary

AmcoGiffen Aviation is seeking an experienced Site Agent to deliver airside civil engineering works at Leeds Bradford Airport. You will report to the Project Manager and ensure safe, efficient delivery within live airport operations.

You will plan and oversee labour, plant, materials and subcontractors, maintain RAMS and permits, and drive on-time project delivery while upholding health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar in civil engineering.
  • Airside civil engineering delivery and maintenance experience preferred.
  • Understanding of construction methods, planning and site management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
  • Valid UK driving licence and ability to obtain airport pass.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations for airside civil works.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
  • Prepare RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
  • Lead teams to deliver works safely and on programme.
  • Support procurement, change management and contract needs.
  • Conduct inductions and toolbox talks; ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Maintain liaison with airport stakeholders and supply chain partners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join AmcoGiffen Aviation, supporting the delivery of a growing portfolio of airside infrastructure, maintenance and civil engineering projects at Leeds Bradford Airport. About AmcoGiffen Aviation

AmcoGiffen Aviation delivers high-profile civil engineering schemes across UK airports, including airfield maintenance frameworks, infrastructure upgrades and specialist airside works. We are currently supporting significant airside enhancement programmes and maintenance activities across multiple UK airports.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Site Agent to join our Aviation team based at Leeds Bradford Airport. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the safe, efficient and successful delivery of airside civil engineering works within a live operational airport environment.

Working within a highly regulated environment, you will ensure all construction activities are delivered in accordance with AmcoGiffen procedures, client requirements, industry standards and statutory legislation.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering and airside infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing site operations across a portfolio of airside maintenance and project works.
  • Planning and coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
  • Producing and implementing RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
  • Leading site teams to deliver works safely while maintaining operational airport requirements.
  • Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with AmcoGiffen and client procedures.
  • Undertaking short-term planning and look-ahead programming with delivery teams.
  • Monitoring project progress against programme, cost and quality objectives.
  • Conducting site inspections and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and industry best practice.
  • Supporting commercial and project delivery teams with change management and contract requirements.
  • Assisting with procurement activities and material requisitions.
  • Carrying out inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Building strong working relationships with airport stakeholders, clients and supply chain partners.
  • Identifying, managing and escalating technical, operational and programme risks where necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience delivering civil engineering projects. Experience working within aviation, airfield or other highly regulated infrastructure environments.

Essential
  • Proven experience as a Site Agent, Senior Engineer or Sub Agent within Civil Engineering.
  • Experience delivering airside civil engineering projects and maintenance works.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, planning and site management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
  • CSCS Card.
  • SMSTS.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Airside Pass.
  • Basic Disclosure Certificate.
  • DfT-recognised General Security Awareness Training or willingness to obtain.
  • Five-year checkable employment history.
Desirable
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience delivering airfield pavement, drainage, infrastructure or Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) works.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, SEATS or equivalent.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Professional membership or working towards chartered status.
