Kier Strategic Projects has an excellent opportunity to work on our flagship HMP Glasgow project. Delivering one of the largest construction projects in Scotland requires significant administrative support, and we are looking for a Site Administrator to join our team based in the project offices.

Location

Royston, Glasgow.

Hours

37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday.

What will you be responsible for?

The site administrator will provide administrative and front-of-house support to the project teams in a busy site office environment.

Your daily tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing data collation, editing reports for sign-off, and issuing reports on behalf of teams to enable reporting accuracy.
  • Ordering office materials and PPE safety clothing, ensuring adequate supplies are available at all times.
  • Recording and collating meeting minutes, issuing and storing them appropriately.
  • Managing the reception desk and telephone.
  • Managing meeting room bookings, ensuring rooms are set up with the relevant seating and IT equipment, and efficiently distributing mail and parcels to relevant staff. Signing for and logging all mail.
  • Maintaining electronic and manual key records, managing logs to ensure all staff and visitors are accounted for, and conducting daily inspections of main building communal areas.
  • Conducting weekly fire alarm testing (including opening secondary gas supply), responding to alarm calls during working hours, and programming and setting up new alarm codes.

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you:

  • Have previous administrative or reception experience, ideally in a project site environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Are IT literate with a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Have an efficient and personable customer-facing approach.
  • Hold a UK driving license and are within daily commuting distance of the project site.
