Site Management Accountant – Fixed Term Contract (3–6 Months)
£70,000 salary | Hybrid working | Based in Hereford | Full-time

Our client is a leading UK food business operating across the full supply chain, from farm to factory, with processing facilities across England and Wales. They are currently seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join their team on a 3–6 month fixed-term contract, based at their flagship site in Hereford.

This role offers hybrid working, with an expected presence on site on Mondays and Tuesdays, and remote work available the remainder of the week. The Hereford site is one of the group’s most advanced processing facilities, employing over 1,500 people and benefiting from recent investments in technology and equipment.

The Role: This is a hands-on finance position requiring on-site presence during core hours (08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday). As Site Management Accountant, you will:

  • Deliver accurate weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Partner with site leadership, including the Site Manager and SLT
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Maintain and update the Profit Improvement Plan (PIP) tracker
  • Provide detailed cost and variance analysis
  • Ensure financial governance and reporting standards are upheld

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Proven post-qualification experience in management accounting
  • Ideally from an FMCG or manufacturing environment (not essential)
  • Strong analytical and financial control skills
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and business partnering abilities
