Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Paediatric Nurse for Ward 8 in Preston. You will lead daily ward operations, coordinate clinical care and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality paediatric services.
The role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, including staff appraisals, training liaison, and ensuring delivery of safe, patient-centred care.

As a band 6 on paediatrics, Ward 8, you will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the unit and will work closely with the ward manager. The role is both a clinical role and a leadership role and as such you will be responsible for staff appraisals, the completion of the off duty in line with Trust policy, liaising with the clinical educator regards training, managing sickness and absence and performance management.
