An exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join the outpatient team at a leading hospital. Responsibilities include assisting in managing the outpatient area and ensuring quality care delivery. With diverse clinics and a supportive multidisciplinary team, this role is essential to patient care.
Anexciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, skilled and motivatedperson to be part of our outpatient team. You must have a minimum of 24months experience as a Band 5, be able to work flexibly within the role,utilise good communication skills to meet the needs of the service.
Theoutpatient service is based within Chapel Allerton Hospital, with multiplespecialities within the area; we offer a diverse range of clinics, includingrheumatology, orthopaedics and Nero rehabilitation.
Youwill work closely with the Senior Sister in managing the Outpatient areaensuring the provision and development of a quality service. The jobholderwill work alongside the Senior Sister in developing and maintaining thedepartments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionatesafe and quality care delivery. You will be joining a department that enjoysa multidisciplinary team approach, working closely with the Senior Sister, incontinuing the development of the nursing team to support the services thatare based within the speciality.
CAHOPD is a multi-specialist OPD situated on the ground floor of Chapel AllertonHospital. The department has three main areas, area 1, area 7 and area 8. Itconsists of 30 consulting rooms, 2 clinical nurse specialist rooms, 2ultrasound rooms, 3 treatment rooms, 2 observation areas and 1 plaster room.Phlebotomy, cardiology (ECG), cardiac ultrasound and foot health are alsosituated in the outpatients department-although within OPD these areas arenot managed by the general OPD leadership team.

-Orthopaedics
-Neurological medicine
-Foot & Ankle
-Musculoskeletal
-Clinical nurse specialists (CNS)
-Ultrasound clinic
-Intrathecal pump clinic
-Genetics
-Occupational therapy sessions pre surgery
Clinicsessions run Monday to Friday.

Thejobholder will play an essential role assisting the Senior Sister with thedaily continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management ofthe ward / department. They will contribute to the provision of professional,clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. Thejobholder is responsible for helping to develop and maintain a ward ordepartments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionatesafe and quality care delivery. By assisting with managing the administrativeand financial aspects of the ward the jobholder will support thecost-effective use of resources.
